Black Bears are one of the original wild inhabitants of the hamlet of Bearsville and still hang out here today. We often see them wandering about, and respect and love them in equal measure. Albert Grossman – founder of the Bearsville Center, who was an imposing figure here-abouts, was sometimes affectionately known as The Bear.
